Links to U. S. Government Websites
Included on this page are the U. S. Government websites that we consider most important to small business: the IRS, the SBA, the DOL and the INS. On these four sites, you will find a wealth of tax and other information that will be helpful to you in running your business, and needless to say, in keeping out of trouble with the government. Our first link is to the U.S. Government tax department, the IRS. Here, you will gain access to important tax information and forms as well as tax instructions. These can be downloaded directly to your computer and printed out immediately. Here's the link:
Internal Revenue Service (IRS)
Our second link is to the Small Business Administration. Many small business people think that the SBA is just for assistance in borrowing money. But if you are running a small business, we strongly suggest you check out this site since it contains much free information on all phases of running a successful business. Here's the link:

The U. S. Department of Labor contains much useful information related to employment and payroll issues. If and when you hire employees, you should check out this web site:

Our last U.S. Government agency that will possibly impact your small business is the INS or Immigration and Naturalization service. If you hire employees, you can easily run afoul of immigration if you are not careful. All employees essentially must prove that they are "legal" by filling in INS form, I-9 and providing the proper credentials. You can get the form and other important information from this web site:
